First Snow

We had our first snow this week and the kids were THRILLED to play in it. I'm not sure I have ever seen them get ready so quickly. We were dressed and had throughly played in the snow by 9:30am. Glad we took advantage of it though since it was melted by the afternoon (which definitely bummed them out). Here are some pictures of them playing.

In Memory

With all the excitement and anticipation of the arrival of our new baby girl, I wanted to take some time to remember our two little angels in heaven. Matt's parent's church has a healing garden with remembrance bricks. We have two bricks in the garden. We never forget how blessed we are for our beautiful children and will not forget our two angels as well.

Christmas Mall Visit

Kathy and I took the kids to the mall last Friday to visit with Santa and to mail their letters to Santa at Macy's. Jackson and Mia couldn't wait to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they wanted. Even though Mia is shy, she didn't hesitate to tell Santa her requests for this year. Grant and Liam were not interested in sitting on Santa's lap, but they did allow Kathy to do a "drive-by" so that they could get a sucker out of Santa's treasure chest.

Christmas Craft

Last week we made a Christmas paper chain to use as a countdown to Christmas. Although we haven't remembered to cut a link off everyday, the kids enjoyed putting it together.

School Pictures

The kids pre-school pictures were not the best this year, but although they weren't cheap I am excited to have them as memories. Jackson's wasn't horrible but definitely is not one of his better pictures.

As for Miss Amelia, I don't even know what to say. Before I opened them I asked her if she smiled for the camera to which she replied, "Yes, mommy!" Apparently this is her smile...

She looks terrified and bored to me. Anyone that truly knows Mia knows that she is full of energy and she never stops talking, singing, etc. Although she loves school, her teachers tell me that she never speaks. She is shy around people she doesn't know, but she has been at school long enough that she should be saying something! This is her face when I pick her up. Looks like she doesn't like school, huh? She asks me every morning if she has it and is disappointed if that day isn't a school day. She is perplexing for sure. I love that I have this picture for future blackmail or just a funny memory for sure!

Welcome Sammy!

A little delayed in posting, but we were all very excited to welcome baby Sammy (Karla and Justin's new little boy). He is absolutely adorable and the kids are excited to meet him at Christmas time! Makes me excited for our little one to arrive!

Thanksgiving pics

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. We celebrated twice with my family on Thanksgiving day and then again on black Friday with Matt's family. The whole family (except Matt--not sure how he always avoids the puking) had some type of 24-48 hour GI virus the week of Thanksgiving, but luckily we were all feeling better by the actual holiday. Matt's mom found an old McDonald's play set of Kelly's in the attic and brought it out for the kids to play with. Needless to say it was a big hit. All of them took turns trying on the apron and hat. It was our tribute to the Corbett's since they weren't able to celebrate with us!

Third Trimester Baby!

I am now officially in the last trimester of pregnancy. This pregnancy has definitely flown by and I'm sure our little baby girl will be here before you know it! I am still feeling fine and she is doing well also. Here are some pictures from our 28 week ultrasound. We had another one to make sure my placenta had moved out of the way of my cervix so that we could have a "normal delivery" instead of a c-section. Having never had a c-section before, I definitely was hoping that it had moved and luckily it had! She is breech currently, but has plenty of time to turn around before she comes into this world. She weighs a little over 2 pounds and looks totally healthy. I passed my glucose tolerance test as well so I am free to partake in the Christmas cookies. I would definitely be a cranky pregnant lady without being able to cave into my cravings!

Jackson and Mia are getting excited for the new baby to come. Mia really cannot wait to hold her and she wants her to share rooms with her (not sure she understands the sleeping patterns of infants!) Grant and Liam know that their is a baby in my tummy, but whenever they look at my belly they want to lift my shirt up to "see" the baby. We are discussing names and have several that we like. I think girl names are way harder than boy names. Any suggestions are welcome, though!

Spooky Children's Museum

Kathy and I intended to take the kids to the Zoo and celebrate Zoo Boo for Halloween, but mother nature refused to cooperate. Instead we decided to celebrate at the Children's museum. Jackson and Mia wore their costumes and I think they all had a good time. I bought year-long passes plus two so that when family comes in to visit we can all go to the museum for a year. Now that the twins are no longer free, it was really cheaper to go for the yearly pass. With winter coming, I am looking forward to taking Grant and Liam only when Jackson and Mia are in school and being able to focus on them more while we are there.
