Wardrobe Malfunctions

Another round of the increasingly requested dance-a-thon took place this weekend, but this time wardrobe changes were added. Luckily there were no "malfunctions," but they definitely had some interesting choices going on. My personal favorite is the Elvis-like draped scarves, especially on the dinosaur.

Enjoying Grandma's visit

Grandma Warren came to visit this week stopping by the house on Wednesday and then helping take the kids to the Children's Museum on Friday. The kids love spending time with her.
The museum is always exhausting, but is even more so now that the twins are running around. I think they had a really good time and the best part for me is that they had a really good nap afterwards!

Dance Moves

We have been putting the music channels on at night and letting the kids dance. They love to shake it. I question where they are getting their dance moves though. I mean, I haven't seen Mickey Mouse or The Wiggles grooving like this. Is Daddy putting on MTV when I'm at work? Just kidding, honey.

This first video is of the twins. Liam still has some skills.

This next video is of all of them dancing. Matt even makes a debut in this one. I am still laughing when I watch it. You all may not find it so amusing, but I think it is hilarious!

Oh, and please ignore the annoying "mom speak" in the video. I hate to hear myself on camera.

Mamaw's Birthday

We celebrated Matt's mother's birthday (Mamaw to the kiddos) last weekend with a trip to Kabuto's Japanese Steakhouse. Jackson really enjoyed the tricks at the table performed by the chef, but Mia and the twins did not. The first fireball flame-up was enough for them to not really enjoy the rest. I think Matt and I will try to take just Jackson again sometime. We had a good meal and celebrated a wonderful person's birthday!

Our best attempt at a family photo. They never seem to quite turn out. Hilarious attempt though, right?

Mess makers

I realized the twins can reach in the pantry to get their own snacks. Not the best way to learn this fact! The funniest part was that when they saw me cleaning it up, the started shoving it into their mouths by the fistful. I guess they were hungry! My silly, messy boys.

Great Grandpa's Birthday

Last Saturday we went to the Sherman House restaurant in Batesville to celebrate Great Grandpa Steuer's birthday. The kids were not the best behaved (I think it reiterates why we do not often go out to eat at a restaurant,) but it was nice to see family and visit for a bit.

Belated St. Pat's Day

Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's Day. We had a good time with some crafts I found online. We decorated a green box I had with rhinestones (since leprechauns like sparkly things).

We put gold painted rocks in the box for their "gold."

Then we left the loot-filled box out to see what would happen (Jackson thought it needed a guard).

The leprechaun's left their green hand and footprints as evidence to their thievery.

In place of the "gold," the leprechaun's left chocolate coins and play dollar bills I printed online. They even played tricks on us by turning our milk green. Silly leprechauns! Jackson and Mia enjoyed their green milk and Lucky Charm's cereal for breakfast.

My little lucky charms with their painted shirts!

I wanted to do a green-themed dinner with spinach pasta and veggies, but it didn't happen this year. I think the kids enjoyed it all anyway. Thanks to Aunt Carolyn for the green milk idea (not as fun as green beer, but I suppose the kids are too young for that!)

Boys will be boys

We have been able to get outside the last few days and let the kids burn off some energy. Last time we played out in the yard, the babies were still crawling. They truly enjoyed running around our backyard and exploring everything. What do you think they discovered first? Hmmm.....sticks, of course! I watched my 3 boys running around the yard with sticks. We tried to get them to put them on the wood pile, but that did not always happen. Hope everyone still has both eyes by the end of the summer...

Girl's Night Out

Mom and I got to have girl's night out this past Friday and we went to see my brother's band (40% Steve) play at Howl at the Moon. Mom and I really enjoyed ourselves. As she said...good food (Spaghetti Factory), good drinks (ice cold Blue Moon-our trusty server snuck in the picture in the background), and good company. We will definitely do this again! Thanks also to some honest person who turned in my camera to Howl's lost and found. What would I do without my camera??
I have so many things to blog about this week...St. Patrick's Day, visiting with family this weekend, dance fest at the Steuer house (hilarious video coming soon--cannot miss it!), but I am also picking up two extra shifts this week at work. Have patience with me people if I am not as timely as previous posts may have been. I know you will survive without the Steuer's for a few days...promise I will do my best!

St. Patrick's Day Crafts-Part Two

Thanks to the dollar bin at JoAnn Fabrics, I have some lovely decorated leprechauns on display at my house. Jealous?

Bed Head

Thanks to his daddy, the J man has some seriously thick and wild hair. I don't think he will probably ever go bald and I know that Matt will not. Jackson was long overdue for a haircut, so all the boys visited Cookie Cutters this week. Since I missed Throwback Thursday this week, here is another picture of Jackson and his wild hair.
