Happy 4th Birthday Amelia!

Our baby girl turns 4 years old today! We aren't having a big party today, but she did get some new princess dolls, barbie mermaid doll, new dresses, and a nightgown. She loved waking up to see her door covered with streamers and a birthday garland hanging on the mantel. We have a delicious chocolate cake to eat later today that she picked out at the store.
Doesn't look as though she will be sharing her birthday with her younger sister, although I suppose the day is still young. As far as an update on my appointment on Friday, my doctor has several inductions already scheduled for Monday so the doctor I saw wasn't comfortable scheduling me without talking to him first. As it stands now, I will call the doctor tomorrow morning to see if they can get me to be induced tomorrow. If he is unable and I do not go into labor on my own, they will hopefully schedule me for Wednesday. I really still feel ok, not too many contractions, pressure, etc. I am just so anxious for her to come and it is hard to be patient. Hopefully tomorrow is the day! We will keep all of you posted!

Chuck E Cheez-its

Yesterday we celebrated Jackson's 5th birthday at Chuck E Cheese (or Chuck E Cheez-its as Jackson and Mia call it) and really had a good time. I was skeptical since it was our first destination party, but I really enjoyed the whole not cleaning the house, not cooking part of the party. All of the kids had a total blast playing the games, getting tickets, and feeding the tickets to the chomping ticket monster to redeem them for prizes. I think the adults had a good time too. Mia really liked meeting Chuck E and I have a feeling she will be requesting a Chuck E Cheese party for her birthday in February. He got some excellent gifts including a toy guitar, air drumsticks, children encyclopedias, a new game for his Vsmile system, and a lite brite. I was surprised by how much he enjoyed the lite brite since he has difficulty focusing at times, but he wanted to do each one of the picture sheets that it came with after the party. Think we will be making a trip to get some more picture sheets since all of them are now done! It definitely brought back some memories for Matt and I playing lite brite when we were kids. Jackson had a great birthday. Thanks to all who celebrated with us!

Happy 5th big boy!

Cannot believe we have a 5 year old! He is growing up into such a little man. He starts piano lessons next week, loves to ride on his scooter (courtesy of Mamaw and Papaw), catches on so quickly to computer games and his Vsmile game system, enjoys playing with trains, and spends at least a short amount of time daily writing and coloring with crayons or markers. He is such a smart boy and we love him so much! Happy Birthday Jackson!

Celebrating Aunt Kelly's B-day

We celebrated Aunt Kelly's birthday with some yummy mexican food this past week. I got some fairly good photos from the trip and it was actually a very enjoyable dining experience (total shocker). We are still though resorting to the paci use with the twins to help keep the peace, but I think we may try to give them up cold turkey next week. Pray for me...it is bound to get ugly and loud. Maybe not next week, but sometime fairly soon. Yikes! Anyway, hope you had a great birthday Kelly! We had a good time celebrating with you!

Party!

We had a great time this weekend at the boys birthday party! The weather was gorgeous and the company was great! We really couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Here are some pictures from the party. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Boys!

My babies are TWO!! Matt and I have really been trying hard to stop calling them "babies," but it is so hard! They are really enjoying their train table that kept mommy and daddy up until almost 2am putting together, but it was worth it to see their excitement and enjoyment. Both boys are doing great. Liam is getting some speech and physical therapy for minor issues and is really doing quite well. Grant's favorite phrase is "Mama, what doin' dere?" and he asks me this multiple times a day. They loved their cake ("Unt cake, mama. More!" they kept saying at lunch today) and we are all excited about the party this weekend. Both boys are still obsessed with cars and trains and love sorting shape toys and puzzles. They love to throw balls and run around on the deck outside. Happy Birthday to my little boys! Love you both to pieces!!

Mamaw's Birthday

We celebrated Matt's mother's birthday (Mamaw to the kiddos) last weekend with a trip to Kabuto's Japanese Steakhouse. Jackson really enjoyed the tricks at the table performed by the chef, but Mia and the twins did not. The first fireball flame-up was enough for them to not really enjoy the rest. I think Matt and I will try to take just Jackson again sometime. We had a good meal and celebrated a wonderful person's birthday!

Our best attempt at a family photo. They never seem to quite turn out. Hilarious attempt though, right?

Great Grandpa's Birthday

Last Saturday we went to the Sherman House restaurant in Batesville to celebrate Great Grandpa Steuer's birthday. The kids were not the best behaved (I think it reiterates why we do not often go out to eat at a restaurant,) but it was nice to see family and visit for a bit.

We had Mia's 3rd birthday party on Sunday. It was a nice day with family. She loved getting all of the attention (see the picture of her leading everyone in Simon Says), loved her cake, and loved her presents. I didn't have to work and we ordered pizza so it was a very relaxing day for me as well. I have some videos of the party that I will share later this week. It was a great time. I think 3rd birthday's are the best for the kids as it is one that they finally understand what is going on. I think she loved it!
