Couch potatoes

This picture was taken right before nap time. They were being so cute snuggling on the couch with their blankies. I love the last picture with the remote right next to Liam.

Bagel Bites

That bagel's as big as you little Grant! If only he had really eaten it instead of drooling, licking, and nibbling-he might actually gain some weight. Thanks for sharing, Nana!

Birthday Shirt

These posts are a little overdue, but my cousin Karla made this shirt for Mia for her birthday. I didn't get the greatest shot, but I wanted to show it. Her blog Sewing in the Purple Room has more of her creations if you are interested. She loves the shirt. Thanks Karla!

Jellies

So during our mall visit, Mia picked up a new pair of jelly shoes for the summer. She, of course, insists on wearing them almost daily now since they are her new favorites. I foresee some very stinky feet:). While shopping, I was showing her all the pretty spring dresses they had. She replied, "Mommy, I already have lots of dresses at home." Indeed, Amelia. My little economical girl. Somehow I'm not sure this will always be her attitude. Some future shopping foreshadowing occurred when she told Daddy about her shoes. "Daddy, they match my jeans, dresses, and shorts. I can wear them with all my clothes." She's already justifying the purchase.
That's my girl.

Howl with 40% Steve

This past Friday night Matt and I went to see my brother's band 40% Steve play at Howl at the Moon downtown. My mother was brave and willing to watch the kiddos so we could enjoy a night out (much appreciated mom-thanks!). We were even able to celebrate with friends and family as well which made the night that much better!

Not a great photo, but Chris playing guitar on stage

Good friends, Ryan and Katie

Matt's cousin Jeff and Jim

They play alot at Howl at the Moon people, so if you haven't seen them--go! You won't be disappointed and the best part is that they play early (6-8pm) so us old people don't have to stay out past our bedtimes:).

Where is she going?

This is a picture of the twins taken as I am leaving for work. You can see Jackson and Mia biting their blankets distracted by TV in the background, but they are whining too. This happens every single time I leave the house without the children. Ahhh, it feels good to be loved.

Play-doh cakes

Jackson and Mia made birthday cakes out of play-doh the other day and were so proud I took a photo. They even sang "Happy Birthday" to each other.
As a side note, I realize some of the pictures I post are kind of random but some are little things they might like to see later in life. I saw an idea on another blog for project 365 where you take a photo everyday for a year of anything that embodies what you did that day. Some days may be non-exciting, but what a neat thing to look at in the future. We almost do this now as I try to update the blog daily if possible. This usually means taking pictures frequently because who really checks this to "listen" to my typing? I think I may do project 365 next year. Neat idea.

Enjoying the warmer weather

We were able to get outdoors and enjoy the warmer weather the last few days. Here are some pictures of the twins enjoying roaming around on the deck. We even blew bubbles and added this word (bubbles) to Grant's vocabulary. This makes me excited for this summer since the twins are able now to walk and enjoy playing outside more so than last year. Grant is in the navy blue and Liam is in red.

Love Bugs

We started this craft project as just that-something fun to do on a cold winter day. Looking into them though, Jackson and I thought we could give them out for his Valentine's to his preschool class. Jackson and Mia had so much fun making these that they just kept going so we almost have enough now for his entire class. We will probably put a heart cut-out of construction paper in the clip that says something like "I'm buggy for you!" or "Somebuggy likes you!" or something corny like that. According to Jackson's teachers, he has several "girlfriends" that definitely need some Valentine's. Too funny! Mr. J is my little "love bug."

"Digging"

It must be something really amazing according to Jackson's face. Gotta love imaginations!

Grocery List

Jackson made his own grocery list while I was making mine the other day.
I think he has all the bases covered. Don't you?
