Throwback Thursday

Who is this couple??? This was taken back pre-kids, post wedding, post major weight losses for both, post major tan, pre-Matt with a beard and all on the best vacation we have taken in beautiful Hawaii. We were so much more rested, less stressed, more carefree, happy and in love. Still in love and happy, but in so many different ways than before. I love this picture and all of the memories it brings back and wanted to share with all of you. Not to mention that it is good motivation for a kick in the butt to get healthier. Summer and shorts are just around the corner...yikes!

Not my name
Mia has been calling Jackson "Jax" lately which I think is so adorable. She is still not able to open her bedroom door in the morning when she wakes up (which is so terribly early lately) so she will calmly, but persistently call "mommy, momma, mom" until I drag my butt out of bed to open her door. She recently discovered that calling for Jackson may be her best option since he is an early riser and a light sleeper. So instead of the many forms of mother typically called out in the morning, she will now call out, "Jax!" until he opens the door. Some days she calls him Jack as well, it depends on her mood, of course (I mean she is female). So although I am a fan of her little nicknames for Jackson, he is not and will correct her frequently as to make it known what his real name is.
The other day I was asking Jackson to pick something up and put it away and I called him "Honey." He replied, "Mommy, I'm not honey. I'm sweetie." Apparently this nickname is alright in Jackson's book...at least for now.

Pretzel Dance
This is a little dance Miss Amelia has been doing lately. Mia says my mom taught it to her (my mother does not remember this at all). She is saying "I'm a little pretzel, ba boom, ba boom." Oh, the things they come up with!
